Christmas dinner in Canada is a $50 million dollar proposition, with Canadian housewives picking up the tab. Biggest single item on the bill is the traditional turkey which runs to around $11 million. Turkey production in Canada this year is expected to total 133,000,000 pounds. Since 1950 there has been a 50% increase in Canada's per capita consumption of poultry.
