Main Text
The Association of Canadian Couturiers set out to make its mark in the realm of haute couture with a purpose as sharp and pointed as a dressmaker's needle: to develop style trends more closely tailored to Canadian needs and the rigors of the Canadian climate and to exploit the fashion possibilities of the exciting new fabrics being produced by Canada's flowering textile industry. Above, members of the Association gather in the salon of President Marie-Paule to discuss arrangements for a Montreal showing.
