Up-to-the-minute -- from a feed conveyor belt to electronically controlled 'sunlight' -- plus production line efficiency have revolutionized the age-old business of poultry raising on the Cyrus and Manning Ells ranch at Port Williams, Nova Scotia. One of the largest enterprises of its kind in Canada, it includes nine farms; employs fifty workers. Shown feeding from a grain conveyor belt in the modern glassed 'Roundhouse' are a few of the 14,000 leghorns. Grain is poured from a central hopper; moves down horseshoe shaped trough.
