A fourth year student keeps a young visitor amused between bites. The care of children is an aspect particularly stressed in home-making courses. A ten day stay in a public nursery under careful medical supervision is a compulsory part of a course in family education. The student receives an aptitude or competence certificate after two or three years of study, and on completion of the full four year course, a university degree which entitles her to teach in the primary classes of a domestic science school.
